Central Aroostook

The Hub of the County, central Aroostook is home to the two largest communities in the region and serves as the major retail center. The Aroostook River, a tributary of the St. John, runs north northeast through its middle touching a majority of the larger towns. The heritage of this region is defined by its many cultures steeped in agricultural traditions, with large working farms creating wide open skies wide open skies and patch work scenery for all to enjoy.
