Spring

As the days grow longer and the snow recedes, sap begins to run in area maple trees and syrup producers fire up their sugar shacks to create their tasty treats. Why not visit one this spring?

After the snow begins to melt and the new shoots of grass appear along the roadways, wildlife make their way from their winter homes to grab a bite. Local restaurants also start serving the first greens of the year, called fiddleheads. This is a great time to view nature's creatures big and small and try some of the wonderful local cuisine. Also, after ice out, nordic skiing in area lakes is at its best. Why not try your hand at trolling for landlocked salmon this spring?
