Wildlife Refuge & Reserve

Established in 1981 in North Amity, this sixty four acre facility is one of Maine's finest Wildlife Rehabilitation Centers, and is open to the public. Visitors can enjoy:

  • Wildlife watching that includes:
    o Moose
    o Bears
    o Deer
    o Bald Eagle
    o Hawks
    o Owls
    o Western Cougar
    o Coyotes
    o And whoever else happens to be visiting

 

 

  • Camping area for environmental groups
  • 5 ½ Miles of walking trails
  • 50 acre animal refuge
  • 14-acre wildlife rehabilitation center
  • Picnic & recreation areas for children and adults
  • Guided tours (mandatory)

 

The facility is handicapped accessible and monetary donations are accepted to help keep operational.
