Canada Lynx
Of the lower 48 states, only Maine, Montana, Washington and possibly Minnesota have confirmed the habitat of Canada Lynx. Once common to much of the State of Maine, this beautiful cat now resides primarily in the North Maine Woods. This indigenous carnivore can grow to a height just under three feet and weigh around 25 pounds. Canada Lynx rely heavily on the rabbit population as their primary food source. Northern Maine's dense population of rabbits makes it a great place for this rare cat to play.
