Goughan's Corn Maze
Getting lost in a maze can be as much fun a family can have in a field of corn. Each year in late summer Mark and Gloria Goughan open their newly designed corn maze with three levels of difficulty for those explorers that are courageous enough to spend some time in the warm Maine sun. After such a hard day's work on the farm nothing tastes better than a cone of homemade ice cream at the dairy bar. "I like the freshly picked strawberry ice cream the best!!" August 13, 2005, Bangor Daily News. Farmer Mark Goughan of Caribou, Maine created a maze shaped like a moose out of his six acre corn field. The maze is an experiment in agritourism that will be open to the public for two months. "I couldn't believe how good it looked when a friend, a pilot, took some pictures from the air," he said.
