Tee up and take in the view!

Around here, a round of golf comes with a whole lot more than 18 holes. These are the Best of Aroostook!  Voted on by folks from across Maine's Aroostook County and beyond, these courses are serving up rolling fairways, lake views, mountain drops, and a friendly game no matter your handicap. From family owned nine-holers to a championship course that hosts the biggest amateur tournament in the state, golfers here play in the shadow of Katahdin, alongside the Canadian border, and at the base of a mountain with a 160 foot drop on the sixth tee. Whether you're chasing a personal best or just chasing the cart girl down for a cold one at the turn, these are the courses where Aroostook golfers spend their summer. Here is who made the list for 2026 as voted on by you!

With 256 votes, the award of 'Best Golf Course' in Aroostook goes to...

Mars Hill Country Club sits at the base of Mars Hill Mountain, and the mountain does not stay out of the way of your round. It has been rated among the top 10% of courses in Northern Maine, and locals will tell you it is one of the best kept secrets around, though the secret is clearly out.
