Leaf-Peeping Scenic Chairlift Rides | $20

See Aroostook County’s fall colors from above with a scenic chairlift ride to the top of Mars Hill Mountain. On October 3, Big Rock Mountain will open the Sunrise Quad for Fall Foliage Chairlift Rides from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering sweeping views of brilliant autumn forests, rolling farmland, and the patchwork landscape of northern Maine.

Tickets are $20 per person for all ages and include unlimited rides throughout the day. Tickets are not presold and must be purchased at BigRock Mountain on October 3.

Each scenic chairlift ride takes approximately 30 minutes one way. At the summit, riders can take in the views before reloading the lift for the ride back down or hiking down Mars Hill Mountain.

Before You Ride:

Tickets purchased at BigRock Mountain on the day of the event only

No pets on the lift
Dress for the weather
Wear proper walking or hiking footwear
Riders must be able to unload at the summit and walk down steps
Ride the chairlift back down or hike down the mountain
