Fort Kent International Muskie Derby

Fort Kent International Muskie Derby

Fort Kent, Maine's own Fort Kent International Muskie Fishing Derby is a freshwater angling competition in the Northeast. Set against the majestic backdrop of the St. John River, the three-day tournament grants anglers access to more than 225 miles of pristine, wild muskie habitat, a world-class stretch of water renowned for producing trophy-class fish. The event is known for tracking down the elusive muskellunge. More than a simple tournament, it represents the standard for competitive river fishing, where the thrill of the chase meets the rugged, untamed spirit of Northern Maine.

The Erik Gardner Memorial Biggest Fish Competition is a daily high-stakes showcase that awards significant cash prizes and bragging rights to the angler landing the heaviest catch of the day. From the sight of river fog lifting at sunrise to the timeless stories shared around evening campfires, this event is not to be missed.
